I am an Advocate with over 19 years of experience as a practicing advocate for my account. I served pupilage at the Johannesburg Society of Advocates in 2004, the same year that I was admitted as an advocate.
In 2005, I commenced practicing as an advocate with the Bridge Group of Advocates under the Johannesburg Society of Advocates in Sandton.
In October 2019, I joined the Pan African Bar Association of South Africa (PABASA) at Loftus Park, Arcadia, Pretoria. The Pretoria branch of PABASA is referred to as Tshwane PABASA Chambers.
In July 2021, PABASA Silk Committee recommended me for conferment of silk status. The process of conferring the silk status on me has been delayed by the Legal Practice
Council which requires written motivation regarding commitment to transformation. The written motivation would be forwarded to PABASA head office on 26 July 2023.
My areas of expertise are in land law, customary law, procurement, administrative law, family law, civil and commercial litigation.
I am the convenor of customary law pupilage program for PABASA and responsible for lecturing candidate advocates / pupils at PABASA and Johannesburg Society Advocate in customary.
RECOMMENDATION FOR CONFERMENT OF SILK STATUS AND ROLE AS SENIOR ADVOCATE
Since I have been recommended for conferment of silk status by PABASA in July 2021, I have been briefed as a senior counsel to lead junior advocates in complex matters of procurement and administrative law for various state departments such as SASSA, Water and Sanitation (DWS), Higher Education, Science and Technology (DHET) Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD), Employment and Labour (DEL) to mention a few.
