Khanya holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (with distinction) from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a Bachelor of Laws (cum laude) from the University of Cape Town.
Prior to joining the Bar she was an articled clerk at magic circle firm A&O Shearman, where she sat in the Debt Finance and Disputes teams. She gained experience in financial sector regulatory work; analysing credit transactions; drafting agreements and opinions; cross-border insolvency proceedings; and High Court litigation.
She maintains a general practice with a special interest in administrative and regulatory law, company law, competition law, contract law, and public interest law.
