Fundile has a well-rounded legal background. Before his call to the Bar, he practiced as an attorney in the Labour & Employment law, Commercial Litigation, and the Corporate & Commercial departments.

Fundile has acted as a Judge in the Labour Court. He was also the principal evidence leader in the maiden investigative inquiry of the Legal Services Ombud.

Fundile has represented clients in the Labour Appeal Court, Labour Court, High Court, Magistrates Court, as well as in various tribunals, such as the IRBA, CCMA, and Bargaining Councils. He regularly chairs disciplinary and grievance hearings, and workplace fact-finding investigations.

Fundile holds a Bachelor of Social Science (BSocSc) degree in Law and Political & International Studies, as well as a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, both from Rhodes University.
