Daniel’s early practice was dominated by labour law, administrative matters, and actions against the police.
During the period of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) he participated in numerous hearings before the Amnesty Committee of the TRC.
He has for many years been involved in cases concerning defamation and invasion of privacy, as well as constitutional and other human rights issues.
Daniel continues to practice in the trial court and the motion court, and in arbitrations. He still focuses on contract, delict, labour, public and competition law. Occasionally, he sits as an arbitrator and an appeal arbitrator, but never in the same matter.
